It's Always Bittersweet

In less than 2 weeks, I will relinquish command of my mountain s. Consider this my formal farewell north jersey/tristate. You have treated me and my machines to some of the most enjoyable stretches of asphalt one could have had the opportunity to taste. Along with meeting some of the most unique and interesting personalities/people. I am off to the land of no mountains, and southern accents...

Kinda a sad moment. Spent a little while today taking probably the last photos ill ever take in my front yard. So I made the most of it. Brought out the machines from my meager stable for a family photo. Look at those dorks, ha. I wont miss NJ as a state. But ill sure as hell miss my front yard.

That glowing thing on the horizon is High Point monument.

Anyways. Time to make Tennessee my new home. I am eager to become immersed in this new state. Having a clean slate to begin again is one of the most refreshing things that can happen.

Not quite as far as east Tennessee, but there are plenty of great driving roads in the Pulaski/Fayetteville/Lynchburg area, relatively close to Nashville. I grew up in the north Alabama/south Tennessee area, it's really a beautiful place.

Well, they are still nearly 4 hours away, but it's closer than Gatlinburg, Knoxville, etc.

Props for keeping the Prelude clean. But those were hills, not mountains, right?

All flat with the grid system where I live. Boring driving and terrible fuel economy, the worst of both worlds. At least my commute is short.

hahaha yes hills. I just have to tie it in with my username is all. So i call them mountains. And in my defense, that high point monument is on high point 'mountain'. Guess they figured 'hill' didnt sound touristy enough.

I know northwest Arkansas has some mountains, but that is just as far away. Mississippi, I don't know on the Memphis side, but on the Alabama side, there is the Natchez Trace Parkway.

Yep, preludes from 99-01 came in a premium pearl white. 97-98 only had that flat white color.

I will be when its warm enough to ride the bike. But we had to end our dual motovlogs due to weather, and the fact that i am moving. So there will be a little hiatus... Hopefully i can find another riding buddy to make dual vlogs with.

Holy shit, it's a small world. Someone has heard of Elkmont, I have lived. Funny story about small worlds though, my Dad met an elderly Filipino in the Philippines that had actually been to Athens, and stayed with someone we knew. What year did you graduate from UNA? I might actually know them, or at least know of them.
